WEEKLY OFFERTORY

July 25, 2010:   Received: $ 3,831.19

August 1, 2010: “…one’s life does not consist of material possessions.”

 (Luke 12: 15)

Only things of God have any ultimate meaning. All people can have an abundance of what really matters to God: spiritual wealth.

A person should be able to enjoy the fruits of one’s labor as long as it is done in the right way and for the right reason. If we are going to be rich in what matters to God, then we need to be doing good things today!

FOOD PANTRY

Thanks to the parishioners who responded to last week’s appeal for supplies, this week we were able to assist 12 families who turned to All Saints for help. Thank you!

Did you over plant your garden vegetables?

  • Why not bring some to the church basement hall on Thursdays for distribution of Friday morning.
  • Enfield Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen is always in need of fresh vegetables. Drop off time is 2-6pm Monday through Friday. Call Priscilla at 741-0226.

To visit the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest treasure of the Catholic Faith. It nourishes social love and gives us the opportunity for adoration and thanksgiving; reparation and supplication.

PRO-LIFE SPIRITUAL ADOPTION PROGRAM

I’m seven months old now. I’m between 14 and 17 inches long and weigh about 4½ pounds. Sometimes, I get the hiccups.

Please continue to pray for your adopted baby!

“Jesus, Mary, and Joseph I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”

IMPORTANT NOTICES

  • Sponsor Certificates:

There has been a change in format of sponsor certificates issued through All Saints. Anyone requesting a certificate will need to come to the parish office and sign the form which reads as follows:

“Aware that I am in the presence of God, I, the undersigned, declare that I am a practicing Catholic, that I attend Mass weekly, and that I am confirmed in the Catholic Church.

In my daily life I strive to live out the Commandments of God and the Laws of the Church.

I consider myself worthy to act as a sponsor for Baptism/Confirmation.”

Once you have signed and attested to the above, a church witness will endorse the form and apply the parish seal.

  • Building Keys: Locksmith work has been done on all church buildings. A system has been installed that entails a different master key for each building. That one key will fit all doors/locks, interior and exterior, of that one structure. Therefore, keys presently held by any individual parishioner will no longer work.

Anyone who feels they should be issued a key for any of the parish buildings is asked to contact the rectory.

·                    Fridays, 7am Daily Mass: Since Mass will again be celebrated at 7am on Fridays, please be aware that those masses are now available for intentions. These Friday masses are the only available for intentions until the end of the year.

  • Collection Counters Needed: We are in need of two or three individuals to assist with counting the weekly collection monies. This would involve approximately 1½ hours on the Mondays mornings of every third month. If you are able to help out, please call the rectory office for more info.
